Understanding our cancellation terms and refund procedures

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment. Cancellations within 30 days of departure receive NO refunds. Travel insurance can help cover these costs in case of unexpected circumstances.
Refund amounts depend on when you cancel. The closer to departure, the higher the penalty.
Different payment plans have different cancellation and late payment policies.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Email cancellations should be sent to our official booking email. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.
Our cancellation penalties do not include penalties imposed by your educational institution or organization. Check with your group coordinator for additional cancellation terms.

In cases of force majeure (acts of God, pandemics, war, natural disasters, etc.), cancellation and refund policies may differ. Free Africa Tours and Safaris will work with suppliers to secure refunds where possible, but refunds remain at the discretion of individual suppliers per their policies.
